Quick Answer

To be admitted to MUST University, an applicant must submit the completed admission application and provide proof of completing a bachelor's or graduate degree (transcript, certification, or foreign credential evaluation). If a document is missing, the applicant may receive conditional acceptance and have up to 60 days from the start of classes to resolve the outstanding item.

Before You Begin

  • Completed admission application, submitted in full.
  • Proof of completing a bachelor's or graduate degree from a college or university, through one of the accepted documents.
  • If the documents are from an institution outside the United States, a foreign credential equivalency evaluation.

How It Works

Admission to MUST University is decided based on meeting the required criteria, a review of the applicant's prior educational history, and an assessment of the applicant's professional interests.

To prove completion of a bachelor's or graduate degree, any of the following documents is accepted:

  • A transcript or grade report proving graduation from a higher education institution.
  • Certification issued by a secondary institution, an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or another competent body or board, confirming completion of a bachelor's degree, graduate degree, or a recognized U.S. equivalent.
  • A copy of a foreign credential evaluation proving the equivalent completion of a bachelor's degree, graduate degree, or a recognized U.S. equivalent.

MUST University offers programs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Anyone who will study in a language other than their native language must provide proof of proficiency in that language; the full criteria are covered in the article on Language Proficiency Requirements.

Applicants to doctoral programs must meet, in addition to these general requirements, the additional admission criteria for doctoral programs (master's transcript, letter of recommendation, essay, interview with the program coordinator, among others), detailed in the dedicated article on that topic.

All original documents are verified by a university representative, who signs the copies to certify them as true to the original. All documents received become the property of MUST University.

Step by Step

  1. Submit the completed admission application.
  2. Submit documentation proving completion of your bachelor's or graduate degree (transcript, certification, or foreign credential evaluation).
  3. If the documents are from an institution outside the United States, include the foreign credential equivalency evaluation.
  4. If you will study in a language other than your native language, also meet the Language Proficiency Requirements.
  5. Wait for the Admissions review, which evaluates the requirements met, your educational history, and your stated professional interests.
  6. If you receive conditional acceptance, submit the outstanding documentation within 60 days of the start of classes.

Deadlines and Rules

  • Conditional acceptance is granted when the applicant enrolls but has not yet submitted all required documentation before the program begins.
  • The deadline to resolve outstanding items is 60 days from the start of classes. Failing to resolve the outstanding item within that deadline cancels the enrollment, with the status "Cancelled with Attendance" and a refund of all amounts paid, except the nonrefundable application fee.
  • If the applicant does not meet one or more requirements, they may be interviewed by a staff member designated by the school, who is responsible for deciding whether conditional acceptance can be granted.
  • An admission decision can be appealed to the Admissions Manager, by submitting additional documentation to support the appeal. In exceptional cases, the Admissions Manager's decision can still be appealed to the university's Office of the President.
  • At the applicant's request, Admissions may defer admission to the following semester or term, within the same academic year in which admission was granted.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don't have all the documents yet. Can I still apply?

Yes. In that case, MUST may grant conditional acceptance, giving you 60 days from the start of classes to submit what is missing.

What happens if I don't submit the outstanding documents within the deadline?

Your enrollment is cancelled, with the status "Cancelled with Attendance," and the amounts paid are refunded, except the nonrefundable application fee.

My application was denied. Can I appeal the decision?

Yes. The appeal is submitted to the Admissions Manager, along with additional documentation to support your request. In exceptional cases, that decision can still be brought to the university's Office of the President.

Can I defer my admission to another term?

Yes. Simply request the deferral from Admissions, which can move your admission to the following semester or term, within the same academic year.

Are the requirements different for doctoral programs or for those studying in another language?

Yes. In addition to these general requirements, doctoral programs have their own additional criteria, and anyone studying in a language other than their native language must provide proof of proficiency in that language. Both of these topics have dedicated articles in the Knowledge Base.
