Quick Answer
The Article Project and the Final Article are individual, mandatory activities in the master's programs' courses, requiring the student's own original work. Attach your file in PDF and confirm the submission; for the Final Article, check the Turnitin report before submitting it as final.
How It Works
The Article Project and the Final Article are graded activities found in the master's programs' courses. Each one requires the student's own intellectual work, done individually and without copying from other sources.
Each course has its own specific assignment for these activities. Because of this, it's essential to carefully read all the materials made available in the AVA before you start.
Only for the Final Article, the system automatically generates a Turnitin similarity report when the file is attached, letting you check the text's originality before the final submission. This check doesn't exist for the Article Project.
Step by Step
- Go to the AVA – Virtual Learning Environment.
- On the AVA home page, click on the current course (the one that's underway).
- Scroll down until you find the Article Project and Final Article block and locate the corresponding activity.
- Carefully read the materials provided: the activity's assignment, the guidelines, and the template to be filled out.
- Follow the guidelines and fill out the template as requested, and check the grading criteria before submitting.
- Attach your file in PDF format only.
- If you're submitting the Final Article, wait for the Turnitin similarity report to appear before confirming the final submission. This step doesn't exist for the Article Project.
- Confirm the submission. Once confirmed, the file can't be submitted again.
Deadlines and Rules
The exact due date for each activity is in the course's academic calendar. Keep an eye on the deadline so you don't miss the chance to submit the activity.
Don't copy text from other sources: the work must be your own, and identified copying can zero your grade.
For the Final Article, once the final submission is confirmed, the delivery can't be redone or replaced. If you need to resubmit, the only option is to request an Incomplete Grade, following the institutional criteria.
