Description

Thinking about taking a break or canceling your course and want to know how that affects your finances?

This guide is written in clear and simple language—just like a phone conversation—to help you understand each situation. Below, you'll find the rules and examples for every case.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Leave of Absence (LOA/PLOA)

? No financial or academic pending issues
If you have no tuition debt and have not failedany courses:

✅ You can take a leave at any time.

✅ When you return, you won’t have to pay anything retroactively.

✅ Tuition payments will only resume after your return.

? With financial pending issues

    If you owe any tuition:

⚠️ You must pay all pending amounts before returning.

✏️ Example: If you paused your course in March and owed January and February, you’ll need to pay both months to resume.

? With failed subjects
If you failed any course:

❗ These courses will be automatically rescheduled when you return.

❗ The value of the courses will be recalculated and added to your new payment plan.

❗ You’ll need to sign a new Payment Form with updated values to continue.

Cancellation

? Definitive cancellation

    There is no cancellation fee.

❗ But you must pay only for the courses you completed, not for unpaid monthly tuition.

✏️ Example: If you completed 3 courses, you'll need to pay for those 3 only.

? Reentry after cancellation

    If you choose to return:

⚠️ A Reentry Fee (R$550) will be charged.

     ✅  You’ll also need to:

  • Pay any pending tuition owed before the cancellation.
  • Reschedule and pay for failed courses. The amount will be added to a new payment plan through the Payment Form.
